THE world International Day of Education was marked on January 24, 2023 with the Theme ” To invest in People; InvesT IN Education”
This theme was unknown to Prophet Peter Abiola Adebisi the Visioner of Christ Miracle Church Mission (CMCM) but he was led by the Holy Spirit to do just that on the 22nd January 2023, when he called out a thirteen year old girl to receive a scholarship.
CMCM has since inception sponsored several Youth in their quest for education, through the award of Scholarships. One of the major focus of the Church is to strive to ensure youth are well vested educationally through the Youth Scholarship Scheme of the well organized CMCM Youth Church at Akiode.
You will recall that the General Overseer Prophet Peter Abiola Adebisi marked his Diamond Jubilee Anniversary on January 15, 2023. On this day quite alot of people as well as Church Members sent Birthday Greetings in various forms. While some were physical, others were over the phone or online depending on the most suitable mode of transmission
For thirteen year old , Oyewale Toluwalase the Telephone wish was the medium that changed her destiny because she did the right thing at the right time and received her destiny turnaround.
Like everyone else she reached out to her phone and called her Prophet Abiola Adebisi who also was at the right place at the right time, picked the incoming call only to realise that the voice at the other end was that of a young girl who said ” I called to wish you a Happy Birthday” on hearing the innocence in her voice Prophet probed further and asked how old she was? Her response moved the Man of God greatly as he instructed that she makes an efforts to see him at the service.
Obedience they say is alot better than sacrifice so this young girl was available when called out on Sunday by the Prophet who had no inclination of who she was or what she looked like until she appeared with her Mother and Elder Sister.
It was there that Prophet realised that indeed this family has been chosen for Grace because a closer look at the elder sister sent Prophet Abiola down memory lane as he remembered that this Lady too had previously benefitted from a similar scholarship years back.
This prompted Prophet Abiola to reconfirm by asking if she was the same one whom the Church had given an Educational Scholarship and she confirmed in the affirmative.
Her story which was a pathetic one, Adeniyi Olusola Mary was an undergraduate of University of Ibadan but dropped out due to the financial incapability of her Parents and had taken up a vocation in fashion designing and dress making.
Her plight touched the Prophet Adebisi who himself had in the past benefitted from good Governance in the Bola Ige and Bisi Akande led dispensation in Oyo State.
Prophet Peter Abiola Adebisi immediately said to himself, “this will not happen while I am alive” therefore he rose to the challenge and granted her a scholarship to go back to school and finish her studies, today to the Glory of God she is a graduate of the University of Ibadan.
The Prophet went on to narrate the ordeal of how he had to learn a trade too because his Parents were poor and could not send him to secondary school. This led him to understudy and start learning bricklaying so he could become a successful bricklayer in future, as God would have it, the defunct Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) took over the helm of Government in Oyo State with Bola Ige and Bisi Akande the Governors of (Oyo and Osun) State consecutively and with the free education programmes party agenda, Prophet Abiola Adebisi like the biblical David seized a one time opportunity, dropped the Cement and Shovel and went back to School and the rest today is history.
