The Presdent in his goodwill message to Nigerians in commemoration of the Eid-il-Fitr celebrations has called on Nigerians to embrace peace.
The message signed on Wednesday, by the Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu stated that President Muhammed Buhari has called on Nigerians to embrace Unity.
The President called on Muslims and Christians to live in Peace and Harmony.
President Buhari asked Muslim and Christian faithfuls to pray for the Country.
Adding that faithfuls should perform acts and indulge in practices that promote brotherhood and forgiveness.
Muhammed Buhari, appealed to Christians and Muslims to jointly pray against the tragic incidents of kidnapping and banditry.
He adviced on practices that promote brotherhood and forgiveness noting that unity and solidarity among all citizens is imperative especially at this time when Nigeria is faced with multiple challenges.
Putting it in his words, President Muhammed Buhari said “On this blessed occasion, I wish that the Eid festival brings with it peace, safety, security, brotherhood, and love amongst all”.
