The Nigeria Police Force has risen to the challenge of delving into the killings of ‘MOHBAD’.
This resolve became necessary due to the outcry of the masses seeking ‘Justice for Mohbad’.
These calls arose as result of the innocent killing of a 27 year old up coming Artiste named Ilerioluwa Oladimeji but popularly refered to as ‘ Mohbad.
Speaking to Pressmen, the Lagos State Commissioner of Police Idowu Owohunwa said The Lagos State Police Command has taken positive steps to unravel those behind the killings of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji a.k.a ‘Mohbad’.
In attendance at the Press Brief also were members of the immediate family of the deceased Artiste such as his Father Mr Aloba Joseph Oluwabamiwo, Mrs. Kolawole Kemi Bosede his Aunt and the grandmother of the deceased Mrs. Felicia Adedara.
Idowu Owohunwa empathized with the family extending condolences on behalf of the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwoolu, the Inspector General of Police and the Nigeria Police Force.
CP Owohunwa went on to inform that sequel to preliminary reviews of facts, insinuations , allegations and strategic elements linked to the incident the police thought there was a very good ground to open up a case of homicide in regards to the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate and untimely death of Ilerioluwa.

The Police Commissioner Idowu Owohunwa said at times like this the duty of the Police is to investigate and dig deep until the root of the matter is established, because the Police owes the Family, Associates, Fans and Society at large ‘Justice’ which is what the Police under his watch is set out to achieve.
He added that the short engagement of Officers of the Committee set up is to undertake a holistic investigation and touch around on the circumstances surrounding the unfortunate death of Ilerioluwa.
It will be recalled that the death of the young and up-coming Artiste, Mohbad’ occurred on September 12, 2023.
