National Association of Online Security News Publishers March Against Drug Abuse, Cultism and Domestic Violence

The National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP)

has embarked on a Sensitisation walk against Drug Abuse, Cultism and Domestic Violences.

The NAOSNP which is made up of Security and Crime News Publishers assembled at the Police College Ikeja and walking all the way to “The Lagos State House of Assembly” Alausa, Ikeja chatting and singing to show support for the eradication of the menaces from Society.

The Pressmen, held placades which had inscribed on them various phrases such as “Say no to Domestic Violence”, “Stop Drug Abuse” and more .

The walk which was supported by various security organisations in Lagos State, had in attendance representatives of the Nigerian Police, Federal Road Road Safety Corps, Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO), Lagos State Traffic Operations officials (LASTMA) and National Drug and Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA)to mention a few.

In his address, the Lagos State Deputy Commission of Police, Bassey Ewah representing the Lagos State Commissioner of Police ‘Idowu Omohunwa’ said the Lagos State Government has done alot for Citizens especially in the area of human rights violations going on to say that all area Commands and Police stations, have desks for domestic violence and efforts were in place to build homes to relocate women being maltreated by their husbands.

Giving her speech, the Deputy State Commander of the Nigeria Drug and Law Enforcement Agency ‘Kassim Makinde’ informed that the Facility at the Ggbagada Head Quarters was being over stretched as there was no space to accommodate inmates any longer and therefore appealed to the State Government to help the NDLEA do their job by providing adequate facilities and equipment to curb the rate of drug abuse in the state.
