LAGOS HSC COMMENDS GBAJABIAMILA FOR CONTRIBUTIONS TO HEALTH SECTOR

The Chairman, Lagos State Health Service Commission, Dr. (Mrs.) Atinuke Onayiga has commended Honourable Femi Gbajabiamila for his contribution to the development of the health sector in Lagos.

Dr. Onayiga gave the commendation during a recent visit of the members of the Commission to the Femi Gbajabiamila General Hospital, Iyun, Surulere. He praised Hon. Gbajabiamila for the construction of a high standard hospital facilities, which he donated to the State Government, as part of efforts to assist the government in realising its set objectives in the area of health.

The Chairman while appreciating Hon. Gbajabiamila for equipping the hospital with necessary medical equipment and turning it into a first class facility, for the use of patients, irrespective of state of origin.

Dr. Onayiga said the purpose of the first – ever visit of the members to the Hospital, is to ensure good service delivery and to prepare the facility for accreditation by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCAN). She also commended members of staff of the hospital for their dedication, commitment and hard work .

Appreciating the team for the visit, the Medical Director/CEO of Randle Gh, Dr. Olumide Sojinrin, who also oversee both MCC Gbaja and Gbajabiamila GH, promised to improve more on quality service delivery in all the hospitals.

Other members of the Commission that accompanied the Chairman on the visit include Dr. Olumuyiwa Adetokunbo Solanke, Commissioner I: Dr. Mobolaji Ayotunde Olukoya, Commissioner II and the Director, Administration and Human Resources, Ms. Folashade Owoade among others.
