INEC ANNOUNCES PRESIDENTIAL RESULTS -Bola Tinubu now the incumbent President

INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu, has finally announced  the winner of February 25, 2023  Nigerian Presidential Elections.

This announcement was made in the early hours of  Wednesday, March 01, 2023 in Abuja.

Rolling out the results, APC  has been declared the winner of the Presidential Election.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu the Presidential flag bearer of the APC is therefore the winner of Nigeria’s Presidential election and the incumbent President of Nigeria.

The APC Presidential candidate won in the following states Rivers, Borno, Jigawa, Zamfara, Benue, Kogi, Kwara , Niger, Osun, Ekiti, Ondo, Oyo and Ogun states.

Bola Tinubu, topped the list defeating 17 other candidates who took part in the election with a total of 8,794,726 votes to his credit,

He also scored over 25 per cent of the votes cast in 30 states, more than the 24 states as is required constitutionally thus meeting a basic requirement to be declared the winner by the constitution.

The PDP Presidential Candidate Atiku Abubakar was next in line, coming second with  a total of 6,984,520 votes.

Trailing closely behind the PDP, was the Labour Party Presidential candidate Peter Obi with a total of 6,101,533 votes while Rabiu Kwankwaso of the NNPP came fourth with 1,496,687 votes.
