11 people in Chaza area on the outskirts of Suleja in Niger State have been abducted by Gunmen.
The Spokesman of the Nigerian Police force in Niger State, CSP Sani Badarawa confirmed the incident.
Reports say that the among those abducted were an imam and ten others all of which were abducted from their homes.
Explaining, residents alleged that the Gunmen capitalized on the suspension of the joint security patrol in the town to carry out their deeds.
In northern Nigeria, farmers have become targets of terrorists and other armed bandits. More than 78,000 of them have already had to abandon their farms. A tragedy that has threatened the country’s food production.
Members of the Islamist sect Boko Haram, which has spread terror in parts of northern Nigeria since 2009, recently directed their attacks on farmers working in their fields. The last attack dates back to mid-September 2020 when these Islamists attacked three villages of Borno in the northeast of the country.
