Sir Victor Uwaifo the legendary Artist, Guitarist and Singer is dead.

The reports of his death filtered in and was finally confirmed to the Press by a family member.

Fondly refered to as ‘Guitar boy’, Victor Uwaifo’s music career sprung to the limelight in the late 60’s and early 70’s.

The music maestro now late clocked and celebrated his 80th birthday in March, 2021.

He however gave up the ghost today, after a brief illness.

Uwaifo is also the first professional musicians to be awarded with the National Merit Honours of Member of the Order of the Niger (MON).

He was also the first Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Tourism in Nigeria.
