Consumer Awards: Consumers Should have a right to Money Worth Brands

The 2023 Consumer Value Awards ceremony will hold at Radisson Blu Hotel Ikeja on Isaac John Street, the event scheduled to hold in August has a theme “Consumer Satisfaction Index”

Voting started in earnest on the May 01,2023 and is expected to close on July 31,2023 at midnight.

As at today, over 20,000 consumers have cast their votes for the brands they believe are ‘money worth’. In the second edition of voting which commenced on July 26,2023.

The Awards which parades Fifty-two different brand Categories listed as ‘value for money brands’.

The leading position among the voting categories is the Cement, telecommunications, and Detergent, with over eight hundred votes each. Others, such as Seasoning, Cooking Oil and Butter, came second with over four hundred votes.

The third category of the leadership board of votes is Pasta, Energy Drinks and Carbonated drink, with three hundred votes each.

Glo hits the mark in two categories namely, Telecommunications and Data value for money with 56% and 54%.

Rite Foods brands Fearless Energy drink in the energy drink category, 71%, Bigi Cola 50% in Carbonated drink, and Bigi Sausage 44%.
Other leaders in different categories of the ongoing voting as it enters the third month are Waw detergent with 62%, Hypo Toilet Cleaner at 78%, and Dangote Suga at 70%.

Akonte Ekine, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Analyst BrandXchange revealed that the voting remains transparent as the consumers are the judges and jury in the entire programme.

Mr. Ekine said Consumers should have a right to being heard and better Services.
