
The Association of Nigerian Private Medical Practitioners ANPMP Lagos State Branch under the watchful eye of Dr. Jonathan Esegine in his capacity as the Chairman and Dr Tunji Akintade the LOC Chairman have informed that all is now set for the 2026 Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference (AGM&SC) which will commence on September 16, 2026 in Lagos
They both promised that Government Agencies will be ably represented because of their belief in Public Private Partnership (PPP) informing that ANPMP is a critical stakeholder.
The private Practitioners provides over 60-70 percent health care services of the population serving as primary and secondary care providers.
The main Theme of the ANPMP Lagos State Branch 2026 AGM&SC is: ‘Understanding Medical Negligence Laws facts and Myths’ Dr. Enejo Abdu the Speaker would delve into the Topic and give a comprehensive overview of issue pertaining to the theme of discussion for clarity and better understanding.
The two day tightly packaged event will also parade two intellectual,
informative and interesting Sub-Themes one of which will be a panel session.
The first Sub-Theme will focus on’ Best Practices: Communication, Informed Consent and Patient Confidentiality’ and this will be reviewed by a credible panel made up of Dr. Victoria Egunjobi, Professor Olayinka Atilola
Dr. Folashade Adegbite and ACP Dr. Bose Salami while Dr. Segun Akeredolu will Moderate the Panel of discussants
Speaking on the second Sub Theme:’Public Peception of Adverse Medical Outcomes’ will be Mr.Olatunde Adejuyigbe (SAN) who will take an in-depth look and throw more light on grey areas relating to the topic.
Dr. Tunde Obajinmi the ANPMP Lagos State Branch Publicity Secetary said in a Chat with TNNO that the Local Organising Committee (LOC) is working tirelessly to cross the ‘t’s and dot the ‘i’s’ to ensure a well organised AGM&SC one where everyone leaves with an impactful experience.
The two day event will be rounded off on September 17, 2026 with take home points from the extensive deliberations, a Communique and white papers for further review, deliberations and implementation
The Theme of the conference is very appropriate at this time of our practice in a very harsh and jealous environment. This topic should be well presented and if possible with documentation of the presentations either soft or hard copies for all attendees. Thanks
