Nigeria’s private medical practice will take centre stage in Lagos this September as the Association of Nigerian Private Medical Practitioners (ANPMP), Lagos Branch, holds its 2026 Annual General Meeting and Scientific Conference.
Scheduled for September 16–17, 2026, at Welcome Centre Hotels, Ikeja, Lagos, the two-day event will bring together medical practitioners, healthcare professionals, industry stakeholders and other key players in the health sector for professional learning, critical discussions and networking.
With the theme, “Medical Negligence Laws: Separating Facts from Fiction,” the conference will explore critical issues surrounding medical negligence, including patient rights, professional accountability, legal responsibilities and the realities of healthcare practice.
The programme will feature keynote sessions, scientific presentations, workshops, exhibitions, sponsor presentations and networking opportunities, alongside the ANPMP Lagos AGM and leadership elections, among other activities.
With a membership of more than 500 practitioners, the ANPMP Lagos 2026 AGM & Scientific Conference is expected to provide an important platform for advancing private medical practice and contributing to improved healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
