The Lagos State Command of the Nigerian Police Force has paraded twenty seven suspected criminals at the State Headquarters in Lagos.
The suspected criminals were arrested for various offenses ranging from Cultism, Murder, Pipeline Vandalisation and more.
One of the twenty seven was Female.
The Lagos State Police Commissioner, Idowu Owohunwa has said under his watch no any kind of criminality will be allowed in the state.
The Commissioner said items recovered by his men were two motorcycles, one unregistered Toyota Corolla, seven locally made pistols, one blue Beret with cultism logo, one knief, one axe and various types of charms.
In his address the Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin who represented the Lagos State Commissioner of Police opened up on what the command is doing to guard against activities of Criminals in Lagos State.
Benjamin Hundeyin, said, “Anything that will reduce crime in our society will be embraced”.
The Police PPRO said that the paraded suspects were picked up from different locations in Lagos State such as Mushin, Okokomaiko, Iba, Agege, and Idimu areas of the state and will be arraigned in court immediately after the parade.
Adding that the Police Officers mandate is to prevent crime and this lies enormously on the cooperation of the members of the Public.
The Police spokesman said,” Lagosians gives us a lot of information which we treat with confidentiality”.
PPRO Hundeyin, encouraged Lagosians to always join hands with security agencies to nip crime in the bud.
The Police image maker urged parents to take responsibility of their children as most of them join cult groups through peer presure.
