75 Abducted Students Regain Freedom in Zamfara

After spending 13 days in captivity, the 75 abducted students of the Government Day Secondary School, Kaya, Zamfara have regained their freedom.

They were released from the stronghold of their abductors on Sunday.

On September 1, 2021 the students and Vice-Principal were kidnapped and while preparing for their mock exams.

It would be recalled that five students had earlier escaped from their captors.

Their release which was confirmed by one of Governor Bello Matawalle’s media aides as butressed in a video clip, that was posted on Facebook.

Narrating her ordeal, one of the released students said they were constantly threatened to be killed with guns and knives by the Bandits.
