Police Service Commission Suspends DCP Abba Kyari over his issue with the FBI
Abba Kyari until his suspension was the Deputy Commissioner of Police and Head, Intelligence Response Team (IRT) of the Nigeria Police Force.
Pressmen were informed through a document signed by Commission’s Head, Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani that Kyari was suspended from the exercise of the Powers and functions of his office, in a statement signed by the
Commission’s Head, Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani.
The suspension which took effect on Saturday, July 31st 2021 would be indefinate pending the outcome of the investigation in respect of his indictment by the FBI.
Kyari was indicted by the FBI in a case involving internet fraudster, Ramon Abass, a.k.a Hushpuppi. He was accused of collaborating with the Hushpuppi to arrest and detain one Chibuzo Vincent as well as collecting bribe to perform the task
