Nigerian Immigration Service opens 24 hours Express Passport Centre

A communiqué issued by the Office of the Public Relations Officer of Service, Mr. Sunday James says that,  The Nigeria Immigration Service, (NIS), has opened a 24 hours express passport processing center in Maitama, Abuja, to cater for Applicants who are in urgent need of passports

TNNO leant that the express booklets which will cost N20,000 can be accessed within three days and N30,000 for  those willing to get their Passports within 24 hours.

 Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, said the introduction of the new center is aimed at ensuring that individuals can apply and procure passports almost immediately in situations of urgency.

Adding that the center will add value to service .

Pointing out that  this innovation will help in minimizing  human contact thereby eliminating sharp practices and enhance public health protocol in line with government’s efforts at combating COVID- 19.

Describing  the center as ”a step towards solving problems associated with passport processing”. The   Comptroller-General of Immigration, Muhammed Babandede  added that  “it will provide speedy and guaranteed service for applicants willing to pay premium charges.”

The Comptroller however warned the public to only make online payments for passport and other immigration services through the agency’s official site or designated banks listed on the website
