Dr Osagie Ehanire, the Minister of Health, has charged Amina Muhammed, who is currently the United Nations Deputy Secretary-General, to influence the improvement of a global standard of health.
Ehanire made this statement while hosting the Deputy Secretary-General of the UN in his office in Abuja.
The Minister of Health further advised that Amina Mohammed deploys her influence in helping humanity.
Amina Mohammed you will recall was Minister of Environment and the Senior Special Assistant to the President of Nigeria on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
Also seizing the opportunity to felicitate with the UN Deputy General Secretary on her 60th birthday, Ehanire also congratulated her on her reappointment as the Deputy General Secretary of the United Nations.
Responding to the Ministers speech, Hajiya Mohammed affirmed that she will continue to represent the good people of Nigeria with a goal to achieve the global mutual tie which would help to foster unity among the member nations.
The UN Deputy General secetary also appreciated the Ministry of health for its unique performance in terms of an operational system for improvement in the health sector
In attendance were, the Honourable Minister of State for Health, Dr Olorunnimbe Mamora, the Permanent Secretary, Mr Abdulazeez Machi Abdullahi, and other top Management staff of the Ministry.
