Lagos State Government has emerged as the most responsive COVID-19 State Government of the Year at the Nigerian Healthcare Excellence Award 2021.
The State Commissioner for Health, Proffessor Akin Abayomi, also emerged as winner of the Most Outstanding COVID-19 State Health Commissioner of the Year at the event.
Chairman, Advisory Board, NHEA 2021, Anthony Omolola, who spoke at the award in Lagos with the theme, “Celebrating Our Healthcare Heroes,” commended the State Government and the Ministry of Health their prompt responsiveness to the outbreak of COVID-19.
Abayomi, who represented the State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, while receiving the awards, appreciated all health workers in the State.
The Minister therefore dedicated the awards to all committed healthcare practitioners who risked their lives in thr fight against the Covid-19 virus.
