Prophet Godwin IKURU a philanthropist and Founder of the Jehovah Eye Salvation Ministry, has again reiterated his desire to take over the mantle of Leadership in the capacity of the Governor of Lagos State come 2027.
The Prophet who had earlier mentioned his desire on a Radio show sometime in March 2025 remains adamant about his zeal to serve in the capacity of State Governor.
Godwin IKURU expressed the belief that he has a deep understanding of the state’s complexities having spent over 27 years residing in the Nations Commercial Capital which
had well positioned him for the job.
He said he also believed that his extensive grassroots interactions in the state had in a unique way qualified him to seek the exalted seat.
Prophet Ikuru well tested and trusted is known for his prophesies and philanthropic activities.
One of Prophet Ikuru prediction that readily comes to hand is his accurate prediction of the historic victory of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2023 elections.
Prophet Godwin IKURU also supported the elections of several Nigerian Governors like that of Niger, Nasarawa, Kogi, Lagos, Imo, Edo, and Delta States.
According to the Man of God, his accurate predictions and endorsements inspired him to take a more active role in governance, saying it was not enough to foresee and support the right leaders alone, adding that the time was now ripe for him to step forward and offer himself for service as Lagos State Governor.
Among his to-do list he promised to deliver on if given the mandate were addressing key challenges such as Traffic congestion, Housing deficits, Youth unemployment, Healthcare among others.
The Man of God went on to State that should he be elected as the next Governor of Lagos State come 2027, he promised to run on a platform of inclusivity, transparency, and development.
Adding that his philanthropic efforts had earned him widespread respect as he had consistently provided support to vulnerable communities, empowering youths and championed causes aimed at improving lives across the state.
Prophet IKURU went on to emphasize that while in office he would strive to bridge the gap between the government and the people to foster trust and collaboration.
In his words, “It’s not enough to foresee and support the right leaders, now, I believe it’s time for me to step forward and offer myself for service. Lagos State deserves a leader with a heart for the people, a vision for progress, and the courage to make difficult decisions. By God’s grace, I am ready to take on this responsibility,” he promised.
