A former Military President General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida has finally admitted that the June 12, 1993 Presidential election was actually won by Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola popularly referred to as MKO Abiola’ .
The revelation which came up thirty two years after the annulment was embedded in the autobiography of his book titled ‘A Journey in Service’which was reviewed by Nigeria’s former Vice President Yemi Osibajo and launched in Abuja, yesterday.
He went on to disclose that the reason the 1993 June 12, Presidential Elections was annulled in the interest of the Public.
IBB who claimed to have taken full responsibility for the annulment however blamed it on Abacha-led forces who acted without being authorized to do so.
