ACCAMB HOLDS NATIONAL STAKEHOLDERS CONFERENCE

The Association of Corporate Affairs Managers of Banks (ACCAMB) had held its 3rd National Stake holders conference 2024 with the theme: Building Bridges: Collaborative Solutions for a Trusted Banking and Financial Service Experience

In his opening address the current ACCAMB President Rasheed Bolarinwa
Pointed out that we are in a world where the financial landscape is continually evolving.

The President of ACCAMB went on to emphasize that the mission of ACCAMB in the banking space remains clear and borders on transparency, prioritize consumer welfare, and champion industry excellence.

The ACCAMB Head said the essence of this annual conference is to serves as a critical forum to address and resolve key consumer issues by providing a holistic understanding of the Nigeria banking and financial services landscape, acknowledging the symbiotic relationships that exist among the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Deposit Money Banks (DMBs), other financial institutions, regulators, and vital players in the Insurance and Pension industry, including NAICOM, PENCOM, Consumer protection agencies and the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS).

In his words “our objectives today are ambitious yet essential,”.

ACCAMB he said aims to educate consumers and foster their ability to make well-informed decisions about banking and financial services by creating a platform for open and constructive dialogue among consumers, regulatory bodies, the media and financial institutions, striving to build mutual understanding and trust.

Rasheed Bolarinwa added that ACCAMB also seeks to reinforce the reputation of our industry and as representatives of the banking and financial services sector, ACCAMB is dedicated to cultivating positive perceptions within Nigeria, sub-Saharan Africa, and beyond.

Ensuring regulatory compliance is another cornerstone of our mission. We are here to deepen stakeholders’ understanding of existing and evolving CBN regulations, promoting a compliant and trustworthy environment.

In his goodwill message the President of the Chattered Institute of Bankers Professor Olanrewaju Pius Oladeji FCIB commended ACCAMB for the theme saying it was not only timely but essential to the era we live.
He added the financial industry thrives on trust an invincible force that drives loyalty, investors confidence and its over all stability.

Among the speakers were Hon. Justice Benedict Bakwaph Kanyip , Mrs Sola Ajulo to mention a few.
